Advice is overrated

We like taking advice. To gather inputs. To seek alliance.

Sometimes, it helps. Most often, we end up more confused.

People's advice is often biased and one-sided. We listen only to what favors us. We become selective, hearing only what we want to hear, tuning out the rest. Advice often says more about the adviser than about us.

Sometimes, we share our problems just to vent. We want someone to listen, not necessarily give advice. Let my heart speak—just lend me your ears.

Advice is a reflection of someone else’s experiences, biases, and beliefs. It’s a mirror, one that may not reflect our own reality. People's thoughts offer new perspectives, but the final decision lies with us.

Advice is overrated. Action is king. No one knows our journey better than we do.
